Who Are Elizabeth and Oliver?
We are both fully qualified Chef's with over 32 years of combined high quality experience between us.
When we qualified as Chef's back in the early 90's we both went to work in Jersey, where we met each other in a hot and steamy kitchen. Not very glamorous!.
We worked in some of the Islands premier restaurants and hotels including
Victorias at the Grand Hotel, the Greenhills Country Hotel and Restaurant, Chateau le Chare, to name but a few, in which we learned our trade in a Michelin starred environment.
Following our 5 years working in the Channel Islands we then went to run Le Galleon Restaurant in St Malo, in Brittany, Northern France.
After then spending time in the bright lights of London working at the exclusive Langham Hilton amongst others, we decided to head for Connemara in County Galway Ireland.
Here we spent some years running a very successful patisserie and also managing Kitchens in some of Irelands most prestigious Hotels and Restaurants.
Then after over 12 years travelling (working?) we both decided the time was right to relocate back home to sunny Newcastle upon Tyne and put to work all the knowledge and experience we had gathered previously.
We are now totally committed to providing you with natural and delicious fine food whatever the occasion.
